This clock is based on the legendary Jeff Thomas NixiSat that was designed around the German Z5680 tubes. Carl Ott and I redesigned the original PCB to accommodate the American made NL7037 tube, while still being true to Jeff’s original design. We made a few additions and had to change some things around due to the geometry of the 7037 tube vs. the 5680, but for the better, I think. The end result came out great with no issues regarding reliability or performance. Our updated version of the Thomas firmware runs flawlessly on this clock as it does on the Thomas legacy NixiChron and NixiSat clocks.
